Ballast Finder estimates how changes in salinity, temperature, and depth affect rigid, incompressible underwater equipment.
Purpose
Compare the water conditions where a complete rigid object was neutral with the conditions for a new dive, then estimate the ballast to add or remove.
Private by design
The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or backend. Its calculations remain local, as do Saved Gear profiles in versions that include that optional feature.
Important: Results are estimates for rigid, incompressible gear. Verify equipment in controlled water and do not rely on the app alone for safety-critical decisions.
